Strategic Assessment of Green Building Opportunities for GVRD

The Sheltair Group evaluated the environmental and economic benefits of green building (GB) initiatives to the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD), and to the private sector. A ‘Green Building Scenario’ was developed based on the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program for commercial buildings and the R-2000 program for residential buildings. An additional analysis was also completed to assess the impact of the GVRD’s Better Building Partnership (BBP).
