Squamish Growth Management Strategy and Official Community Plan

In 2005, The Sheltair Group was a member of a consulting consortium that developed Squamish’s Growth Management Strategy. Sheltair prepared a population and housing projection for the District, developed a constraints map to identify areas that are potentially developable, conducted land use analyses, and prepared maps for the Growth Management Strategy. Sheltair subsequently worked with the community of Squamish to update their Official Community Plan. This work involved confirming the vision, issues, and priorities for the OCP through extensive consultation; developing objectives and updating of policies for the OCP; and preparation of the updated document.
