Siobhan Murphy, MA - Planner/Sustainability Consultant
Siobhan is a planner with a background in community planning and has extensive experience working with community groups on a wide range of land use planning and resource management issues. She has more than seven years experience as a planner, facilitator and promoting tools to enhance planning processes.
In her work at Sheltair, Siobhan employs her skills in two main areas of land use planning: projects involving community consultation and strategic planning, and technical pieces that involve the utilization of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for land inventories and performance indicators. Her expertise in developing graphic, print and web-friendly materials is extensive, as well as her ability to effectively synthesize community discussions and identify key issues. She has just finished working with three communities in Northern Alberta on an Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP) for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and is currently completing the spatial analysis for the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen Baseline Study. Siobhan's next project is an examination of redevelopment options for community organizations, which is being funded by the BC Housing Endowment Fund.
