Sebastian Moffatt, PhD - President
Sebastian Moffatt is the founder of The Sheltair Group, where he works as a senior researcher and project manager. Sebastian began working as a building scientist and environmental analyst in 1980. In 1995 the scope of his work expanded to include urban systems design and ecological planning. Over the past twelve years he has worked on sustainable infrastructure plans for dozens of cities in North America, Asia and Europe. He has chaired special sessions at the CIB Sustainable Buildings Conferences in Paris, Maastricht, Vancouver and Tokyo. He has authored a number of books and manuals on methods and tools for resilient and integrated system design. He has led design charrettes and ‘green team’ collaboratives in cities across Canada, down the western coast of North America, Netherlands, France, Germany, China, South Korea, India and Japan. Sebastian is also the president of the CONSENSUS Institute, a not-for-profit think-tank that explores new methods for the design of CONStructed ENvironments and Sustainable Urban Systems (CONSENSUS)
