Sarah Buckle, B.Sc. (Env) - Sustainability Consultant
Sarah is a Project Manager and Sustainability Consultant at the Sheltair Group. With over nine years of environmental and sustainability consulting experience, Sarah’s work has primarily focused on strategic planning, policy development and designing and implementing management systems for private sector clients and government agencies. Sarah was the primary author for Jacques Whitford’s first Corporate Sustainability Report and has a keen interest in assisting private sector and government clients with their own internal sustainability initiatives. Sarah’s management system and strategic planning projects involve developing strategic policies, establishing objectives, targets and indicators for measuring progress and developing action plans. She has developed and implemented registered ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems for airports, port authorities, and a variety of industrial clients. In addition to management planning projects, Sarah managed an Energy Asset Mapping and Regional Education and Capacity Building project for the Strait Highlands Regional Development Agency in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The Energy Asset Map was developed to identify opportunities for commercial and residential applications in earth energy, wind energy, passive and active solar potential. The project also included the development of a Communications/ Public Relations Plan to ensure and increased awareness of climate change and GHG reduction measures within all sectors of the Strait Area, consultation and workshops with community members and key experts in the energy sector.
