Samantha Agtarap, B. Eng, EIT - Project Engineer


Project Manager

Samantha has a background in engineering and sustainable energy. She has worked with First Nations, utilities, and municipal, regional and provincial governments on the topics of energy, greenhouse gas emissions, air quality and the environment. Her primary work has centred on community energy, greenhouse gas emissions and air quality planning.

Samantha's core strengths include translating complex technical information into accessible communications material while ensuring key messages are maintained, engaging municipal staff and communities in planning processes, and analysis of technical information. In her four years at Sheltair, she has worked on a range of projects, including over six community energy plans, the development of BC Hydro's Remote Community Electrification Program, the Sea-to-Sky Air Quality Management Plan, various indicator and benchmark projects such as the Capital Regional District's Regional Growth Strategy, and a variety of life cycle assessment studies. Samantha also has facilitation experience, gained through facilitating group discussions on a variety of topics including regional air quality planning, visioning and goal setting with communities for energy planning and various other community-based processes.

Prior to joining Sheltair, Samantha worked with BC Hydro on occupational health and safety standards and the 2004 and 2005 Integrated Electricity Plans.
