Innes applies his technical and policy expertise, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to identify innovative and practical solutions related to the built environment. Innes combines detailed technical knowledge and analytical skills with strong conceptual problem solving capabilities. Much of Innes' work is related to buildings and energy systems. Innes specializes in conducting technical analysis to assist decision- making within complex business and public policy processes.

Innes is a senior associate with the Sheltair group, where he manages assignments related to building science, climate change and air quality. Innes is a professional engineer, a LEED accredited professional and a Building Envelope Professional, providing design and construction services to enhance the durability of buildings in British Columbia.
