Esmeralda Cabral, MA – Consultation Specialist

Esmeralda has over 10 years experience in designing public participation programs and facilitating public sessions and workshops. She has worked in the fields of agriculture, forestry and environment, for industry, government and as a consultant both in Alberta and in BC. She has a long track record of working with rural communities, First Nations, and environmental organizations to review and evaluate the impacts of resource development projects.

Esmeralda joined The Sheltair Group in 2006, and has contributed her writing, communications, and community engagement skills to a variety of projects. She has focused primarily on the Community Electricity Plan (CEP) for Haida Gwaii and has developed and maintained effective working relationships with elected officials, members of the Council of the Haida Nation and the general public.

Esmeralda is a member of the International Association of Public Participation and the Federation of BC Writers.
