Envision Wood Buffalo

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo has launched an integrated community sustainability plan (ICSP) called Envision Wood Buffalo. Sheltair was hired to lead the public engagement component that aims to facilitate input from residents in Fort McMurray and the surrounding 11 rural and First Nation communities. The public engagement program will be structured in such a way as to address the objectives of the plan, which are to:

identify and confirm current issues in, and affecting, the municipality;
create a vision and future success statements;
develop sustainability principles;
create future sustainable physical growth concepts; and
identify actions for the short-term.

This will form the basis for updating the Municipal Development Plan and the 5-year Business plans produced by the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
