Amy Seabrooke, BSc (Env), MA - Sustainability Consultant
Amy has an interdisciplinary background in environmental science and sustainability with a focus on strategic planning, organizational learning and systems thinking. She holds a Masters degree in Sustainability with extensive training in The Natural Step framework, which she applies in her work with organizations and communities.
Working on sustainability issues with the public, private and voluntary sectors for over seven years, Amy brings experience in project management, program development and stakeholder engagement to her work with Sheltair. In 2007, Amy conducted a national review and assessment of sustainable community plans for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), reported on socio-economic indicators for municipalities in Nova Scotia, conducted primary research for a program evaluation of the BC Conservation Lands Forum, and developed an energy and emissions profile and report for a social housing project in Central Ontario. Current projects include Strathcona County's Environmental Sustainability Framework and indicators, and the City of Victoria's Civic Sustainability Framework. Amy is involved in the Human Well Being Indicators and Baseline Study - for the North and Central Coast of BC, and the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen Baseline Study for the South Okanagan Regional Growth Strategy Performance Indicators.
Amy previously managed the FCM Partners for Climate Protection program, a network of over 150 municipal governments committed to reducing greenhouse gases and acting on climate change.
